The basics.

HOSHI Lighting operates this store and website. Our online store is powered by Shopify, which helps us process your orders, host our site, and keep everything running smoothly.

By using our website or shopping with us, you're agreeing to the way we handle your information as described in this policy.

If there's ever a conflict between this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service, this Privacy Policy takes priority for anything related to your personal information.

Who we share it with.

We don't sell your personal information. Full stop.

We do share it with certain trusted third parties when necessary to run our business:

Service providers who help us operate, including Shopify (hosting and payments), Klaviyo (email marketing), Australia Post and Aramex (shipping), and analytics platforms.

Marketing partners to help us reach the right people with our ads, including Meta and Google. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to opt out of targeted advertising based on your online activity. Contact us if you'd like to.

Where you direct us to, such as when you connect a social login or ask us to ship your order to someone else.

Legal reasons, including if we're required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or investigation, or if HOSHI is involved in a business transaction like a merger.


Shopify specifically.

Our website is hosted by Shopify, which means Shopify processes some information about you when you use our site. This information may be transmitted to and stored on servers outside Australia. International data transfers.

We're an Australian business, but some of our service providers (like Shopify) are based overseas. When we send your personal information to a provider outside Australia, we take reasonable steps under the Australian Privacy Principles (APP 8) to make sure the overseas recipient handles your data with equivalent protection to what's required under Australian law.

We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our Services, run our business, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.


Your rights.

We won't discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.
